Baltic Film Days will take place on 29th–31st of August in 2024 to showcase the highlights of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian cinema. This time, in order to celebrate the most important event in Estonia in 2024, Baltic Film Days are going to be held in Tartu.

The event offers a unique opportunity to screen the best of Baltic cinema, proving the strength and cultural value of the films from our region. In addition to film screenings, Q&A sessions will take place, allowing to discuss topics in depth and allowing the filmmakers to share their knowledge and experience with the audience. A great way to create links, build bridges, enhance mutual understanding and build a better future through culture.

The Baltic Film Days will take place already for the eight time and we are proud to be part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main programme. The film days are simultaneously held in Latvia and Lithuania to celebrate the cultural uniqueness of the Baltics and commemorate The Baltic Way – a peaceful political demonstration that occurred on 23rd of August 1989.

All the films will be screened with Estonian and English subtitles. Screenings are free of charge.
