Rogosi manor

The first written information about the Rogosi manor dates back to 1591. Presumably, a castle or a fortified manor was located above the Rogosi manor already in the Middle Ages, which was later replaced by a wooden defense structure. The unique layout of the manor allows us to assume its medieval origin, which is a 60×80 meter castle complex in the courtyard area. Presumably, the manor building was built outdoors either at the end of the 16th century or at the beginning of the 17th century. After repeated devastating war events between Poland and Sweden in 1625-1627. according to revision data, most of the manor buildings were destroyed. In 1744, the manor went as a dowry to the German noble family von Glasenapps, who immediately after receiving the manor built a new baroque main house with wing buildings. In the first half of the 19th century, a new two-story manor house in early classicist style was built. The main building remained the western wing of the castle. A goal tower was also built in the last quarter of the century.
