Avinurme train

From 1926 to 1972, the narrow-gauge Sonda–Mustvee railway passed through Avinurme. For nearly 50 years, it was a true period of prosperity for the villages along the route. Today, a 1 km section of the former railway has been restored, along with a railway bridge, rolling stock, and a waiting pavilion.
