Palupera Manor Complex
The earliest records of the Palupera knight’s manor date back to 1582. Over the centuries, the manor has belonged to the von Dücker, Bronsky, and von Fersen families, but it remained longest in the possession of the von Bruiningk family. It was during their time, in the 1860s, that a wooden main building in a historicist style was constructed.
The architecture of the building is distinctive: the central section was single-storey, the wings were two-storey, and at the center rose a four-storey tower with an octagonal upper part. Decorative elements include arched windows and richly constructed auxiliary buildings. A family cemetery is also located near the heart of the manor.
To this day, several buildings of the manor complex have been preserved and are under heritage protection.
