Taagepera Castle

More than a hundred years ago, Baron Hugo von Stryk built a powerful Art Nouveau-style castle as his residence. The manor house, designed by Otto Wildau, was completed in 1912. In the 1920s, the manor was converted into a lung sanatorium, and in the late 1930s, a new Functionalist building was completed near the main house, designed by Alar Kotli.
