Tartu Arch Bridge

The Arch Bridge is a pedestrian bridge connecting the city center with the Ülejõe district. It was built between 1957 and 1959 on the site of the former Stone Bridge, using the foundations of its riverbank pillars. Until the bridge was completed, people were regularly ferried across the river in the 1950s by a long rowing boat.
