Tartu Old Town
Tartu Old Town is a multi-layered historical environment where a medieval street network meets predominantly 18th–19th century Neoclassical buildings. After the Great Fire of 1775, the area developed into a cohesive Baroque and early Neoclassical city center, complemented by historicist and Art Nouveau details from the early 20th century. The Old Town offers an authentic historical atmosphere with its narrow streets, inner courtyards, and dignified facades.
