The University of Tartu Main Building and Assembly Hall

The Assembly Hall of the University of Tartu is located in the university’s main building, which is one of the most remarkable examples of classical architecture in Estonia. The building was constructed between 1804 and 1809 according to the design of the university’s architect, Professor Johann Wilhelm Krause. The hall has 480 seats in total (340 on the floor level and 140 on the balcony).
